What is an EscapeRoom?

An EscapeRoom or escape game is a full-scale adventure game in which players are locked in a physical or fictitious space from which they must manage to get out in a given time. To do so, they must explore the space and its contents, solve enigmas, riddles and puzzles, find clues or complete a mission before time runs out.

The main objective of an escape game is to provide an immersive and fun experience for players. Escape games can be played as a family, with friends or with co-workers, and are often used to foster team spirit and communication.

The mission takes place within the framework of a story that can include different genres: crime, horror, thriller, police investigation, etc. The time to complete the mission is limited and is displayed by a running timer. In addition to the time, you can see a leaderboard with the score ranking of each group of players, which creates additional pressure and tension. The challenges can vary in complexity and difficulty, thus having EscapeRooms of different levels from 1 to 10, with 1 being the easiest to solve and 10 being the most difficult. There are even level 10 rooms that have never been solved! The riddles to be solved can be visual, auditory, mathematical, logical, etc. so that the constant feeling of frustration alternates with success, combining adrenaline and tranquility to create a drama that makes the hour of play pass quickly.

Our first EscapeRoom in container format is called “ToxicCrime” and is set in the “crime” or “agent” genre, with the danger of reckless and toxic crimes determining the setting and look of the room.

During the game

Rules are an important part of any Escape Room. Without rules, many different mistakes can happen, which can lead to losing the fun of the game, damaging the rooms or a visitor getting hurt. Therefore we have summarized all important rules here.

Valuables

Cell phones and other valuables, such as purses, jackets, etc., are not permitted during the game. You may lock all valuables in the boxes provided for this purpose.

Eating and Drinking

Eating and drinking is not allowed. Please be sober.

Toilet

You can go to toilet during the game, but the game will be over for that person. So please do everything beforehand.

Handling

Solving the EscapeRoom does not require force or strength at any point. All required items can be reached without extraordinary physical effort. Please handle everything with care, we and the next playing group will be grateful.

Security

For security reasons and to be able to assist you in case of necessary or emergency assistance, the room is monitored by video surveillance. No records are kept. The room is also not locked. If you need assistance during the game, say loudly and clearly “Operator we need help” and look at the camera.

Duration

The game lasts max. 60min. Speed and accuracy of solution combine to your score.

Safety

There are metal, glass, wood objects in the room. Please pay attention to normal handling so that no injuries occur. Where necessary, we have taken safety precautions.

The emergency exit is marked accordingly.

Preconditions

Before the game:
You can find our opening hours in under Booking and Prices. Please arrive 30 minutes early for the game. If you are late, we reserve the right to give priority to another spontaneously waiting group of players. You will then be given the next available or selectable alternate date. We have limited parking available for you.
Your valuables will be kept safe during the game. The game will last one hour. So please allow at least 1.5 hours total. The game is designed for 2-5 people. Please organize accordingly.

Requirements for the game:
First and foremost, the game should be fun and exciting. You can take up the challenge if you are at least 16 years old. Children can play if accompanied by an adult. If you have physical limitations, please inquire individually. Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible. There are no real dangers. However, you will be working partly in the dark, in confined spaces, under time pressure, etc., so you should not bring any corresponding mental and physical strain. Please do not come in swimwear and without alcohol influence.

After the game:
After the game, your score and, with your permission, a photo of you will be posted. On Instagram, you can see the leaderboard for the day, month, and year. We usually ask you for feedback and invite you to follow us on Instagram. An EscapeRoom is a unique gaming experience. Please share solutions

Please do not share solutions and specific content of the EscapeRoom within earshot of people who also want to play it, nor on the Internet.

Reservation
If you do not abide by the rules, requirements and other modalities, we reserve the right to exclude you from the game.
